Party for New Year in Berlin!

In many ways Berlin is the least German of the big German cities. You won't see picture postcard town houses, quaint cobbled streets, strapping men in lederhosen drinking huge jugs of beer and slapping their thighs. Rather Berlin is a modern cosmopolitan city, with a vibrant contemporary culture and nightlife scene. Here dilapidated buildings are reincarnated as avant garde art museums, wastelands are turned into funky beach bars and old power stations hide vast techno clubs... Is Berlin beckoning yet?

Please note we are not running Xmas and New Year trips to Berlin in 2009. We have many other exciting trips offered for Xmas and NY 2009 with GOBUS, in Russia, Egypt, Morocco and Scotland. Our next Xmas and New Year in Berlin will be offered in Dec 2010.

Xmas and New Year's Tours

4 DAY NEW YEAR IN BERLIN - from USD $479

Tuesday 30th December:

Make your way to our Hostel for check in after 3pm. Tonight let's get together and check out the infamous Berlin night life… Welcome to Berlin!

Wednesday 31st December:

This morning we will join our local English speaking guide for a walking tour of Berlin. Our optional guided sightseeing tour will introduce the main highlights, including the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag and the old Berlin Wall. Along the way we’ll make sure we stop and celebrate New Year in New Zealand and Australia! The tour lasts a couple of hours and is an excellent orientation and introduction to this amazing city. Tonight we’ll join in with the locals as they welcome in the New Year.

Thursday 1st January:

Happy 2009 and a late leisurely brunch for everyone as we try and remember the previous evening! This evening the group will join together for one last party night in Berlin.

FRIDAY 2nd January:

After breakfast we will check out of our hostel and our tour ends

Berlin always has its own ‘live for the moment’ atmosphere and GOBUS will take you right into the heart of the city for New Year's Eve! The city is an absolute dream for the party-goer with bars, pubs and clubs to suit every taste, and some of the most original venues to be found anywhere in the world. The city's famed ability to regenerate means that many a derelict shell has been revamped into the latest hip joint to be seen in. But be warned, Berlin is vast and many of the better places are hidden away so if you get chatting to the locals you can always ask for their recommendation! Additionally Berlin is a great city for dining out, with restaurants to suit every pocket!
