Taking you to all the top spots of Turkey with heaps of optional activities for you to choose from along the way, allowing you to do as little or as much as you please. Kicking off in Istanbul, taking you to Gallipoli to explore the battlefields and memorials without the ANZAC day crowds, travelling to the gorgeous Aegean coast, amazing ancient ruins and the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia.

DAY 1: ISTANBUL TO GALLIPOLI

Welcome to Istanbul! Make your own way to the departure point in Istanbul for an early morning departure heading west along the coast of the Sea of Marmara. This afternoon, you can experience the WW1 battlefields of Gallipoli without the crowds of ANZAC day on an optional tour of the Gallipoli battlefields where you can pay your respects to the fallen soldiers, on an optional tour or spend the afternoon exploring the nearby town and marina of Canakkale. 

DAY 2: KUSADASI

Breakfast. Heading south along the Aegean Coast we visit the ancient city of Troy for a guided one-hour tour of the ruins and see the replica Trojan wooden horse that helped sack Troy. There is also an optional tour of the magnificent Roman ruins of Pergamum and the stunning hillside amphitheatre. Continuing to the picturesque coastal town of Kusadasi, where you can sit back with a cold beer and relax. Overnight Kusadasi. 

DAY 3: EPHESUS

Breakfast. This morning there is an optional tour of Ephesus - the best preserved ancient city in Turkey and its incredible Temple of Artemis, which is one of the seven ancient wonders of the world. The rest of the day is free to explore the town of Kusadasi. You could visit the site believed to have been the last home of the Virgin Mary or just laze on one of the beautiful Aegean Beaches. Overnight Kusadasi.

DAY 4: PAMMUKALE

Breakfast. Chill out in Kusadasi or choose one of the optional tours on offer.  Visit the stunning terraced mineral pools and Roman Hierapolis at Pamukkale, where you can bathe in the thermal waters. Or opt to visit the nearby Ottoman-Greek village of Sirince, to taste test some of their specialty fruit wines. The choice is yours! Overnight Kusadasi.

DAY 5: KOYCEGIZ

Breakfast. After a relaxed morning we head to the small town of Koycegiz. This afternoon you can take a stroll and sit by the lake. There is the option of taking a late night boat cruise on Lake Koycegiz where you can take a dip in the amazing natural mud baths!   Overnight Koycegiz.

 

DAY 6: SAKLIKENT GORGE

Breakfast. After a short drive this morning, we stop to see how Turkish carpets are made by hand, before continuing on to a stunning natural canyon known as Saklikent Gorge. Here you can trek or if you fancy a quick cool down, go tubing down the rather chilly current of water that rushes out of the gorge. Overnight Fethiye.

DAY 7: FETHIYE

Breakfast. Today you have the option to relax on a day cruise around the 12 islands of Fethiye, go paragliding or maybe chill out on a nearby beach, the choice is yours.

Special Note: If you choose to do the Med Dreaming gulet cruise bolt-on then today will be Day-1 of your bolt-on. You will then disembark from the gulet cruise on the morning of Day-10 and spend Day-10 at Olympos (includes dinnner).

 

 

DAYS 8 - 10: OLYMPOS

Breakfast. We drive the turquoise coast today, stopping for a swim at the spectacular Kaputas beach and then a lunch stop in Kas, traditionally a small Turkish fishing village. Take a stroll around the town before heading to the world famous tree houses of Olympos where we spend 3 nights. you can do nothing but chill out over this time, alternatively you could try a host of adventure activities such as rock climbing, diving or canyoning. Don't forget your chance to see the natural phenomenon of the mythical flames of Chimera. Overnight Olympos (3 nights incl 3 dinners)

DAY 11: THE SILK ROUTE

Breakfast. Mid-morning we head out to follow an ancient silk trade route across the Anatolian Plain to Cappadocia, on the way you will visit Sultanhani Caravanserai just as the ancient traders did. Overnight Cappadocia.

 

DAY 12: CAPPADOCIA

Breakfast.  Cappadocia is without doubt one of Turkeys top spots, with its utterly surreal landscapes which have to be seen to be believed! Bizarre cave dwellings, phallic 'fairy chimney' rock formations, whole troglodyte villages, subterranean churches and fortresses, which have all been hewn from the soft porous, eerily eroded rock of Cappadocia. This morning you have the amazing opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride over this spectacular region. You will be back in plenty of time for the optional tour around the southern parts of Cappadocia. Overnight Cappadocia.

 

DAY 13: CAPPADOCIA

Today you are free to explore the wonders of Cappadocia at your own pace. Tonight, do not miss the optional entertainment, the fun packed Turkish Folklore evening, which includes nearly 3 hrs of entertainment and all the food and drink you can handle! Overnight Cappadocia.

DAY 14: ANKARA

Breakfast. It's an early start today as we head back to Istanbul, via Ankara, the nations Capital. You will have time to visit the Museum and Mausoleum of the famed Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and discover what happened to the Turkish nation after the ANZAC’s left. We then travel back to Istanbul (arriving late evening) where your tour ends. We hope you enjoyed your time in Turkey!
