DAY 1: ISTANBUL
Welcome to Turkey! Welcome to Istanbul! Meet at the tour departure point in Istanbul for an early morning departure heading west along the coast of the Sea of Marmara. DAY 2: TROY, PERGAMUM, KUSADASI
Breakfast. After breakfast we head South down the beautiful Aegean Coast. On the way we stop at the ancient city of Troy for a guided tour of this fascinating and historical town. There is also the chance to check out the well preserved Roman ruins in the magnificent antique site of Pergamum before heading to the resort town of Kusadasi. Overnight Kusadasi.
DAY 3: ANCIENT CITY OF EPHESUS
Breakfast. Today you can choose to do an optional visit to the various temples, amphitheatres and ancient buildings of Ephesus, the best-preserved ancient city in Turkey. Check out one of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World, the fascinating Temple of Artemis. Alternatively take a well deserved rest and chill out on a beautiful Aegean Beach. Overnight Kusadasi.
DAY 4: PAMUKKALE
Breakfast.This morning we check out some local Turkish handicrafts then make our way to Pamukkale and the ancient spa town of Hierapolis to admire this otherworldly landscape of calcium pools. Bring your swimming gear if you are planning to have a dip in the therapeutic hot springs of Hierapolis if not just have a lazy paddle instead! Overnight Pamukkale.
DAY 5: SILK ROAD
Breakfast. We trace the footsteps of the ancient silk route trade across the Anatolian Plain. Like the ancient traders, we stop off at the Sultanhani Caravanserai - a huge and impressive fortress like building that was actually used as a hotel by those following the silk route. Overnight Cappadocia.
DAY 6: CAPPADOCIA
Breakfast. This morning you have the option to fly over the fantastic scenery of Cappadocia in a hot air balloon. Then you can take an optional tour around the Southern parts of Cappadocia. Whatever you choose to do, this region will fill you with wonderment as you explore carved cave villages, underground cities, spectacular coloured valleys and fairy chimney formations. Tonight it's time for some partying - Turkish style - as you have the option of going to a Turkish folklore evening, which includes all the food and drink you can manage! Overnight Cappadocia.
DAY 7: ANKARA
Breakfast. Today we are up bright and early as we make our way back to Istanbul, via Ankara, the nation's Capital. We stop off at an impressive salt lake, and then have time to visit the Mausoleum of the famous Mustafa Kemal Atatürk - founder of the Turkish Republic and its first President. Here we can discover wheat happened to the Turkish nation after the ANZACs left. We head back to Istanbul arriving late evening, where your tour ends, and its time to say goodbye to new friends!
