ON THE HOP ON HOP OFF BUS, SHOULD I BOOK MY ACCOMMODATION IN ADVANCE?
We recommend you organise your first night accommodation before you travel (call us if you would like help with this) especially if you are starting in Istanbul where hotels/hostels are in high demand. However there is no need to organise the rest of your accommodation before you travel, unless you’d prefer to. The tour leaders on the buses can help you to arrange your accommodation at your next stop as well as any touring or activities you might want to do. It’s like having an onboard travel agent! They can arrange anything from hostels to 5 star hotels for you. The Fez Bus is a door to door travel network and nearly all the designated stops in each town are at our specially selected and recommended accommodation points.

IS IT OKAY IF I TRAVEL ALONE?
Yes! We get a lot of people travelling alone on our tours and we will match you up with the same sex traveller so that you don’t have to pay any pesky single supplements. If you are travelling on our Hop On Hop Off bus, you’ll have the support of the tour leaders on the bus who can help book you into hostels where you can share a dorm if you don’t want a single room. Travelling with GOBUS is a great way to meet fellow travellers and have the support you need whilst maintaining your independence.

DOES GOBUS CHARGE A LOCAL PAYMENT?
In a word - No!

HOW MUCH MONEY SHOULD I BUDGET FOR?
On our Turkey group tours accommodation and breakfast is included in the cost of your GOBUS tour and we’d recommend a comfortable budget of USD$50 - USD$60 per day but of course this depends on how much you want to eat, drink and see! Budget an additional USD100 to cover your entrance fees.
If you are travelling on our Hop On Hop Off bus you will obviously need more money to cover the cost of accommodation, meals and sightseeing. Based on hostel accommodation we’d recommend a daily budget of around USD $80 – USD $100 plus an additional USD $100 for entrance fees.

WHAT SHALL I BRING?
Most international airlines limit you to 20kgs. Rucksacks are more practical than suitcases, particularly if you are doing a Gulet cruise. Bring a smaller day pack to carry around your essentials. Pack summer clothing but remember to bring something warmer for the evenings. If visiting in April or October it is cooler, so pack a few layers including a jacket. From November to February temperatures plummet, so you’ll need some winter woollies on our Xmas tour! Remember that Turkey is a Muslim country so please dress respectfully, ladies save your skimpy outfits for the beach! Bring comfortable footwear, we recommend trainers and flip flops/thongs for the summer months. Don’t forget to pack your camera!
