DAY 1: ST PETERSBURG
Salutations from St Pete's! Tonight, you’ll meet your travelling companions at our welcome Meeting. Your tour leader will recommend some great local bars and restaurants for you to try out. If you fancy a winter warmer, put some fire in your belly Russki style, with a few Vodka shots! Overnight - St Petersburg.
DAY 2: ST PETERSBURG
This morning we take a guided walking tour around St Petersburg, Many of St Petersburg's main sites are off the main thoroughfare - Nevsky Prospect, including the stunning Church on Spilled Blood. The afternoon is free for you to check out the treasure-filled Hermitage - which houses the world's largest and best art collection. Overnight - St Petersburg.
DAY 3: ST PETERSBURG
A free day for you to enjoy St Pete's on your own or why not grab yourself a 'St Pete's city pass' and let us lead the way? Highlights of the city include the imposing Peter and Paul Fortress, which was once a gruesome prison, St Isaac's Cathedral and the lavish Catherine Palace at Tsarkoe Selo. Overnight – St Petersburg.
DAY 4: ALPINE FUN!
It’s time for some fun in the white stuff today as we head to the outskirts of St Petersburg, where there is the opportunity to test out your winter sports skills and enjoy a picnic lunch. You can hire equipment for sledding, mountain skiing or skating. This evening we board the overnight train to Moscow. Picnic lunch & overnight – train.
DAY 5: MOSCOW
Welcome to Moscow, the city that kept Bond busy! Enjoy a guided walk of Moscow’s city centre, where we’ll view the wildly coloured, turban domed, St Basil’s Cathedral, the mighty Red Square and the impressive GUM department store. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the Kremlin – Russia’s political power house, with its gold-domed cathedrals and tsar bell. This evening why not sample Moscow’s thriving underground club scene! Overnight - Moscow.
DAY 6: MOSCOW
A full day at leisure for you to take in the sites of Moscow. Take a journey on the Stalinist-era metro with its ornate chandelier lit, marble clad, circle line stations. Pay your respects to Lenin the grandfather of Communism, at the mausoleum in Red Square, where his eerie embalmed body lies in state. Or simply chill out in the huge range of eateries and bars. DAY 7: MOSCOW
Our tour ends this morning and hotel check out at 12 noon.
