IS IT OKAY IF I TRAVEL ALONE?
Yes! We have a lot of single travellers on our tours and it's a great way to meet new friends. We will match you up with the same sex traveller where we can so no pesky single supplements need apply.

DOES GOBUS CHARGE A LOCAL PAYMENT?
No.

HOW MUCH MONEY SHOULD I BUDGET FOR?
We recommend a daily budget of USD$55 - USD$75 per day including tipping kitty and entrance fees, but of course this depends on how much you want to eat, drink and see! In Moscow and St Petersburg the cost of food and drink is approximately 10 -15% less than in the UK.

WHAT SHALL I BRING?
Most international airlines limit you to 20kgs and you should try to pack light to leave room for some souvenirs! Use either a rucksack or suitcase and bring a smaller day bag to carry your essentials. Russia is incredibly cold in the winter months of October to March and you will need to pack a scarf, quality gloves, hat, thermal underwear and a very warm coat. You will also need to wear waterproof shoes that have a good tread to avoid slipping on the ice. In the peak of summer from July to August, Russia can become very warm, so pack lightweight clothes but bring plenty of layers for the cooler evenings.

WHEN & HOW SHOULD I BOOK MY GOBUS TOUR?
Russia is a destination that can be visited year-round. Popular departures are Christmas/New Year, Easter, Bank and school holidays as lots of teachers and students book with GOBUS! The golden rule is to book early to guarantee your place. Flight availability is sought after at these times, so if considering a cool Yule or Easter escapade with us then source your flights to Russia early and book your tour place as soon as possible! That way, you’ll snag a good airfare deal and most importantly your place on one of these popular departures is secure! In order to travel to Russia you will need to obtain a Russian visa in advance (refer to Know Before You Go) which takes a minimum of 3 weeks, so even out of peak times you can't book a Russian tour at the last minute!
